The 31st Annual Salem Haunted Happenings will celebrate Halloween and fall in New England with a variety of programs, events and attractions for all ages. October 1-31, 2012. A month-long celebration of Halloween and fall in New England, Salem Haunted Happenings features more than 100 events, and there is something for everyone. New events this year include Witches Brew, a musical dinner theater; Scary Mary, an R-Rated rock spectacular; a celebration of the Wizard of Oz at the Peabody Essex Museum; and Witch Hunter, a dramatic nighttime performance at Pioneer Village.

There will be costume parades and family fun days, a vampire ball and psychic fair, dramatic performances in historic sites including the Witch House and The House of the Seven Gables, haunted harbor cruises and walking tours. In addition to special programming throughout the month, most Salem attractions and museums offer extended hours.
